We also help you in obtaining
PAN( Permanent Account Number) in case you don't have PAN with you. Please consider
the following regarding PAN.
- What is PAN →
Issued by the Income Tax Department, Permanent Account Number (PAN) is a ten-digit
alpha-numeric unique identifier. A PAN is issued to each assesses (e.g. salaried
individual, self-employed professional, firm, company etc.) in the form of a PAN
Card. Your PAN card is valid anywhere in India.
- Who can apply for
PAN? →All assesses or persons who are required to file a return of income for
themselves, even on behalf of others, must have a PAN.
- Can I file my income
tax returns without quoting a PAN?→No, your return of income would not be accepted
without a valid PAN being quoted. In case you have applied for a PAN number at the
time of filing the return you should mention so in the form.
- Where can I obtain
an application form for PAN (Form 49A)? →The application form for PAN (Form
49A) in the prescribed format can be obtained from TIN-Facilitation Centre (TIN-FCs),
any other stationery vendors providing such forms, or from the NSDL-TIN website.
- Where do I submit
my completed application for PAN (Form 49A)? → You can submit your signed PAN
application form duly filled up, along with all supporting documents, to any of
the TIN-Facilitation Centre (TIN-FCs) or PAN Centre managed by NSDL.
